The IBN has put a wrap on the 2019 state tournament, and it was another interesting year, with a short staff, rising water and weather delays to contend with. Despite the conditions, this years event was another great success, and multiple nice limits and fish were weighed.

On the boater side, we have a 2 time state champion. Dan Brown of Prarie State won with a 2 day total of 20.96lbs. 2nd place with 16.38lbs was Jake Stauthammer. Brian Sopko (3rd, 15.05lbs), Chris Lally (4th, 14.66lbs, Tom Shumowsky (5th, 13.54lbs) and Scott Dunn (6th, 13.22lbs) round out our state team boaters. Joe Sanderson will act as the alternate boater.

On the non-boater side Adam Markiewicz topped the competition with a 2 day total of 7.81lbs, anchored by a 4.8lb big bass. Rounding out our top 6 was Mark Emenecker (7.15lbs), Matt Marques (6.90lbs), Casey Morgan (6.81lbs), Jeff Lopez (6.36lbs), and Bryson Steel (5.88lbs). Our alternate will be Anthony Spano (5.65lbs).

Congratulations to all of this years qualifiers. A special thank you to those individuals that stepped up to volunteer and run the event. This year we had 1 person on staff that was not actively participating in the event, so special thank you to interim President Andrew Thiesse for ensuring everything ran smoothly so we could all compete.
