The IBN hosted the 2nd annual Angler of the Year tournament this past weekend on the Des Plaines River. The AOY tournament brings the top boater and coangler from each IBN Adult Club to compete for a spot on the 2019 Illinois state team.
On the boater side, Happy Hooker Dave Schultz beat out 14 other anglers to take home the top spot with 5 fish for 11.19lbs.
On the coangler side, Nolan Turner took home the win in convincing fashion with 3 fish for 8.23lbs, including big bass for the day with a 4.43lb fish.
