The 2018 IBN High School State Championship concluded this weekend on Lake Springfield, with some very impressive weights being brought to the scales. 44 teams competed Sunday, weighing in a total of 211 fish for 396 pounds and 41 limits!
In 4th place with 12.22 pounds from Sandwich was the team of Beatty and Wesson. Squeeking past them for third place was the team of Thiele and Konrad from Naperville North with 12.24 pounds. Second place went to the team of Turano and Paskericius from Plainfield South with 14.06 pounds. And edging them out for first with 5 fish for 14.88 pounds was Tyler Lubbatt and Tyler Christie from Plainfield North.
